HEGEL is seeking Fire Protection Project Engineers to join our team in an upcoming project in Penang. Hegel provides professional-level fire protection engineering and installation services such as life safety code consulting, fire protection system installation, service, maintenance, upgrading, performance-based fire engineering design with the Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Oil & Gas, and Marine industry.








  • Manage day to day operation on the project site, working with client’s representative, consultants, builder and other trade contractors.

  • Strategize and plan worker, fitter, foreman, welder and helper deployment on-site based on workload, speed required and dateline targeting,

  • Attend to all site inspection, visits and audit with Inspector Of Works, Consultants and client’s representative.

  • Coordinate with Project Engineer, Project Procurement Team and Submission Engineer on material delivery schedule and storage on site.

  • Manage worker, fitter, foreman, welder and helper remuneration and work record.

  • Coordinate and communicate changes to Project Engineer, Contract Team, Client’s representative and consultants.

  • Assist technically in the resolution of design problems that may include performing field investigations or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project.

  • Submit progress reports to Project Managers and Project Leaders.

  • Effectively communicate with project team members, clients and others.

  • Attending regular meetings ( on work progress, coordination, design, etc. ) with Main Contractor and Consultant to discuss critical issues related to the project and take practical corrective actions.

  • Ensure that the health and safety requirements are provided and that they comply with authorities regulations.

  • Minimum 5 years in Construction Environment specifically in Fire Protection installation field.

  • Must possess CIDB Green Card and valid Driving License

  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles or construction technology and practices. Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Responsible self-starter with problem-solving and reasoning skills.

  • Possess intermediate-level personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
